Default Underworld risk vs. reward

I'm just wondering if anyone knows where you can find the so-called UW crafters. I had a guild group spend a ridicoulous amount of time clearing the entire zone (3 hours or so, I really lost track to be honest) and we didn't run into any crafters by just doing quests.

We even managed to finished the insanely long "Restore the Monuments of Grenth" (sp?) quest and all we got was a lousy 10k exp for our effort. The amount of effort you spend trying to grind that place is not 10k in exp.. it should be like 5 times that.

But anyways, we were down to like 5 people at the end, ended up wiping on the Ice Cave quest since we never did it before. (protect the Ice King and the Reaper at the same time :O )

Could anyone fill me in as to where the UW crafters can be found?

Reward, hmm. You have reached max level by that point in the game, you have 80%+ of the skills for your chosen class, Your Items are more than likely maxed.
I personally think said areas are there for team play and fun.
There is little point in xp rewards past level 20. The only reason to actually level and gain skill points is if you haven't done any quests or cannot be bother to do quest to earn skills.
Now if they Added attribute points as a reward, now that would be worth while doing.

No idea where the crafters are though.

The armour they offer will not be that much better than you have already got, perhaps another 5ac bonus.

Want to tell me what you find each time you release a reaper?

Also... Personally I don't think there are any crafter there... but you can get the materials you need for fissure crafter much easier there...

Yeah I think Vermillion is right... I think the reports of a armorer in the UW is just players mistakingly calling fissue the UW.

yes and no

ive been lvl 20 for a while. to honestly do underworld runs, i think its safe to say yer gonna need 10+ plat stored up, at 1 plat per run it adds up. and thats assuming you get in and actually gain some of that 1 plat spent back, since half the time the public party sucks and most people die pretty fast

i agree with the skills part, by the time you're ready to do uw, you've got at least several of the real skills you'll need for either serious pve endgame, or starting pvp. as for items, no. item distribution is kinda iffy at best. ive done missions where several people in the party (late game parties btw post ascension) get 2-3 purples each during a mission, and the rest of use don't even get a blue, just crappy whites that are most of the time salvagables. you really do have to grind for your items, if you want good items that is. sure you can stick with some of neat collector items but there are always better rares and blues out there, especially in uw not to mention the armor (at least different styles and whatnot).

id love to do more than a couple uw runs a week its just too expensive, half the time my party are idiots and die so quickly, and im just a necro so unless they start killing stuff (a mob that i can actually use a corpse of) then im fubared as well.

The crafters you seek are in Fissure of Woe.

Yeah, I wish the exp was a better gain than 10k per mission in there. The monuments quest is long and a pain in the ass to complete with most groups. As far as loot goes, I have found the best loot coming out of the Underworld but its never in mass like that of Fissures, just better. Eternal shields, Storm Bows, and Ghostly staffs are lovely. Just gotta know where in UW to hunt for these.

It's definately worth your 1k per trip. You get alot out of it unless you're stuck in some ghetto retard group who can't seem to get past the first quest in UW. Apparently, there are alot of those types.

I'm sorry, but if anyone thinks exp at 20 is worthless, you are completely wrong. It's going to take me forever to collect all the skills I want on 3 different subjobs =X

If you only have one PvE character, then maybe, but on the other hand you could just go back to areas and speed through the quest to get the skill for free.
I have 2 main PvE characters as I like exploring and questing and have unlocked 75%+ R/Me/N/E skills and a few W/Mo skills Both my characters have loads of skill points to spend 10+ and have very little use for them. Both are ascended and at different stages. Fire chain isles and Southern Shiver peaks.

If you do all the missions and most of the skill-reward quests youll have a few extra points after getting all the skills for both professions, but some people like to hot-swap their secondary and remember, alot of the skill points came from completing the missions (not just from levelling up)

UW runs are fast and can drop 5 ecto sometimes.... loot is better imo if you know where to look -- otherwise is a little worse than fissure.

But I love fighting them bone dragons in Fissure!
